K

Kepler's laws

The three basic laws of planetary motion discovered by Johannes Kepler.

 

Kinetic energy

The energy of motion of a body. It is expressed as one-half the product of its mass and the square of its velocity: K.E = 1/2 mv2.

 

Kirchoff's laws

The three laws which explain the formation of continuous, emission (bright-line), and absorption spectra.

 

Kirkwood's gaps

The gaps in the spacing of the asteroids.
